Enrichment Leadership trip to FMSC
Our Grove students met with high school teachers and student leaders from the following EGHS classes and clubs: Estudiantes Unidos, Leadership Through Service club, and Teacher Internship Students.
They began the day rotating through multiple small group breakout sessions lead by the student leaders at EGHS focused on Leadership, budgeting for their future with finances and educational attainment, Resiliency and Mindset, Giving back to the community, Brain Development and Learning over time, and character/ positive relationships.
Afterwards, in conjunction with high school leaders, students traveled to Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg where they worked together as a Elk Grove Community to pack 85 boxes of meals in under 2 hours – which was approximately $4300 worth of food/work to feed children in other countries.
It was a great experience and students were excellent!
