CCSD59 Communications Department Honored by INSPRA
The CCSD59 Communications Department has been recognized by the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA) as part of its annual Communications Contest Awards. Two feature videos, Junior High Graduation and Social Emotional Learning in 59, have been granted Awards of Excellence, the highest honor given to eligible districts.
INSPRA utilizes the contest to recognize the top communication pieces in the state, including written, audio, and visual materials. Professional school communicators from across the country judged 133 total submissions this year.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to tell stories in CCSD59,” said Justin Sampson, Director of Communications and Design. “Our students achieve so many remarkable things every day, and just being able to show glimpses of that work is rewarding. Our school staff and administrators also collaborate wonderfully to make these features possible.”
Junior High Graduation celebrated the Class of 2019 from Friendship, Grove, and Holmes Junior High and can be viewed here.
Social Emotional Learning in 59 took a look at how SEL lessons are implemented at various parts of a typical school day and how Community Outreach Specialists collaborate with staff to extend that work to our families and communities. That video can be viewed here.
